College Football Fan Who Raised $3 Million For Charity Gets A Bobblehead

When Carson King brought a sign asking people to send him beer money to ESPN's College GameDay, he didn't expect to receive national attention. What started as a joke quickly turned into something bigger as people saw his sign on television and started sending money to his account. Instead of keeping the money, King decided to donate it to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.

News of his generosity spread and within a few weeks, King managed to raise $3 million for the hospital, which included matching donations from a few companies, including Anheuser-Busch.

Now, King and his act of charity will be immortalized forever. The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum announced that they have created the "Iowa Legend" bobblehead to honor King

"It's amazing that a regular guy wanting to do something nice can spark a movement of generosity. To be honored with a bobblehead that will continue to help raise money for worthy projects is enough to leave a guy speechless," King said after learning that he will have his very own bobblehead.

The bobbleheads are available to preorder for $25 each. $5 from each sale will be donated to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital King Family Fund. The bobbleheads are expected to ship in January 2020.
