Prior to co-founding AcutePet, Dr. Hoffman co-founded and helped grow a multi-location emergency and specialty veterinary hospital with locations in Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio. He later held executive and advisory leadership roles across national veterinary emergency, specialty, and management organizations. His experience spans hospital development, facilities and infrastructure, team leadership, operational strategy, and the design, staffing, and management of veterinary care facilities.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hoffman has been recognized as a trusted voice in veterinary leadership, operations, financial management, and hospital development. He has served on executive committees for veterinary management organizations and has spoken to veterinary groups across the country on topics related to building and sustaining successful emergency and specialty practices.
At AcutePet Urgent Care, Dr. Hoffman brings decades of experience and a deep commitment to creating sustainable access to high-quality veterinary care. His leadership reflects a focus on building strong hospitals, supporting exceptional teams, and creating an urgent care model that serves pets, clients, veterinary teams, and the broader profession.
Outside of work, Doug enjoys playing golf, traveling, and going to sporting events and concerts, but his greatest pride is his family. He values time spent with his wife, Lisa, and their three sons.
