That Felt like More than Just One Victory for the Dodgers

The Dodgers have seized the momentum in the NLCS and, despite being down 2-1, it doesn’t feel like they are behind. Cody Bellinger, who had a horrendous regular season hitting only .165, turned things around with his game-tying homerun and seems to have found his MVP mojo just in time. While it only counts as one in the books, it certainly feels like it meant so much more for the Dodgers hopes to successfully defend their title.

Dan Patrick: “Dodgers were down 5-2 in the 8th inning. They had never come back when they were trailing by three or more after seven innings in their long postseason history. So, what’s LA do? They turn to Cody Bellinger, the former MVP who hit just .165 on the season. But Bellinger, putting that behind him, a three-run homer tied the game. Mookie Betts delivered the game winner, and they win 6-5. They now trail Atlanta 2-1 in the series. It doesn’t feel like that, that they’re down 2-1, but after those kind of wins, those sometimes feel like more than just one victory. A few more outs and this series could have been basically over, but now Los Angeles has momentum...”
