Colin Cowherd: Dolphins Regret Not Already Moving on From Tua Tagovailoa

Colin Cowherd: “We say often that ‘AGGRESSIVE wins’. Go for it, GO BIG. I give the Cardinals credit. They drafted a quarterback in Josh Rosen and they immediately identified ‘hey, we don’t think it’s special enough in this division’ and they acknowledged that they needed to redraft a quarterback. You watch Arizona play now and they have an unbelievable talent at quarterback, but for that to happen they had to acknowledge that they missed last year. It happens, 50% of quarterbacks don’t work, just man up and admit you missed. Arizona did and now they might be the most spectacularly fun team to watch in the league. Miami has done a lot of things right but last year was a great quarterback class and they chose a wide receiver. Folks, there are 25-30 wide receivers a year in the draft that come into this league and play. You can get a receiver but there are only three big-time quarterbacks and they stuck with Tua. They stuck with Tua knowing in their division they would have to face Josh Allen 20 times minimum for the next ten years. Bigger, stronger, more athletic, agile, huge arm. As smart as Brian Flores is as a coach, he can’t stop Josh Allen. Brian Flores knows if he sticks with Tua for the next ten years he will be at a massive size, arm, and athletic ability deficit 20 out of 20 times the next decade, but they just drafted a quarterback. I said it before the draft that they needed to draft another quarterback. Where is Miami now? What are they? They don’t have anything close to Josh Allen. Tua is hurt and no one is saying it’s his fault but he has an injury history, he’s small, he’s marginally athletic, everybody knew it, and you can’t stop Josh Allen. Guys can’t admit they’re wrong but sometimes the most brilliant decision is admitting your previous decision was off-base.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the Dolphins need to finally be honest with themselves and just admit that Tua Tagovailoa is not their quarterback of the future and a guy who they should have moved off last year when they had the no. 6 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft in a QB class that had Justin Fields and Mac Jones still on the board.
