Colin Cowherd Says This Team is the 'Perfect' Destination For Lamar Jackson

Colin Cowherd: “I always felt like Chris Paul with the Clippers, Rockets, and Suns… if you added Chris Paul to your team he solved a lot of issues. You’d have more maturity, you’d have a distributor, you’d have an on-court coach and leader. One player could do so many things… Lamar Jackson gives me the Chris Paul feel— wouldn’t he be perfect in New England? We know their defense is good, we know their coach is good, their owner is stable, their special teams are excellent. What do they miss? They don’t have any playmakers, they’re slow. The game has changed, the best coaches are offensive coaches. Did you watch the Super Bowl, Mr. Belichick? The Eagles defense couldn’t stop Mahomes. Lamar Jackson is perfect in New England. They’re not good at offense, and they can’t draft offense. I looked at the Patriots wide receiver draft picks since 2010, and it’s unbelievable how bad they are. The last Pro Bowler they drafted on offense was Gronk. Are the top offensive coordinators even interested in the job there? They’ve got a hole in the organization; they don’t know offense. They don’t have touch, feel, or a sensibility for it. Lamar Jackson is your Chris Paul. He gives you a dynamic playmaker, massive speed— the only two things you’re missing. Mac Jones got to the playoffs as a rookie, you can’t tell me there’s not a market for Mac Jones. They’re not fast and they’ve got no playmakers, and they clearly can’t draft them. Go sign THE quarterback playmaker in the league. Somebody will give you a third for Mac Jones, maybe a second.” (Full Segment Above)

Watch Colin Cowherd explain where he thinks the ‘perfect’ destination would be this season for Lamar Jackson, as contract negotiations with the Baltimore Ravens and agent-less superstar continue to get more cringeworthy.

Check out the segment above as Colin details why he believes the New England Patriots, a former dynasty turned crater, could ignite another run by Bill Belichick in the final few seasons of his career.
