Tennis action on Monday at the Western and Southern Open saw Cincinnati's JJ Wolf attempt to win his first main draw match at the tournament in Mason. He would opposed by Finland's Emil Ruusuvuori.

After a back-and-forth battle the ended in a first set tiebreaker, Ruusuvuori would take the momentum and quickly dispatch Wolf in the second set. Final Score 7-6(2), 6-2.
