2022 W&S Open Rd 1 Sinner vs Kokkinakis

Round 1 of the 2022 Western and Southern Open continued Tuesday morning opening the Grandstand Court with a match featuring Thanasi Kokkinakis of Australia, and a young man from Italy celebrating his 21st birthday, Jannik Sinner.

In what would be a very back-and-forth battle from the start, Kokkinakis jumped out to an early 1st set win. It would be the birthday boy however, who would claim victory winning the next 2 sets, and the match 6-7 (9), 6-4, 7-6 (6).
