Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is already missing games for no apparent reason and Dan reiterates his frustration over the NBA’s load management issue. He thinks the fans are being short-changed by superstars who take random games off with no consideration for those who bought tickets just to see them play. He has some ideas for Commissioner Adam Silver and hopes something will be done to keep the marquee players on the court.
Dan Patrick: “The fans want to know who’s playing. Kawhi’s not going to play for who knows how many games, so you know that. Here’s Joel Embiid; he didn’t play in the opener so it’s not even a back-to-back...You want to have availability. The audience has to have trust in your product and this is a real issue for Adam Silver.”
