A Perfect Night for Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers

Covino & Rich are in for Dan Patrick this morning on The Dan Patrick Show and they are still buzzing from last night after Los Angeles Dodgers future Hall of Fame pitcher, Clayton Kershaw notched his 3,000th strikeout on his final pitch in the 6th inning and the Dodgers celebrated his milestone with a walk-off win courtesy of a Freddie Freeman RBI single scoring Shohei Ohtani in the bottom of the 9th. It was a magical night at Chavez Ravine as Kershaw gave 50,000 fans the gift of a once-in-a-lifetime memory and cemented himself in the history books.

Rich Davis: “50,000 people wanted to be able to from now on say, ‘I was there when Kershaw hit 3,000.’ He gave a gift to 50,000 fans. I mean, the electricity, the curtain call, waving and blowing kisses at his kids and family.”

Steve Covino: “…Perfect night. It’s kind of gross that the Dodgers had such a perfect night.”
