The New York Giants manhandled the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles last night, putting on an offensive display featuring rookie RB Cam Skattebo and rookie QB Jaxson Dart. After benching veteran QB Russell Wilson and inserting the rookie, the Giants have real hope, not just to compete in the NFC East, but to possibly save HC Brian Daboll’s career.
Dan Patrick: “I thought maybe they were going to play Russ (Wilson) longer than they should, but maybe they thought, ‘We gotta win games because if we don’t win games with this schedule, we won’t make it to the second half of the season.’ Now, you have something interesting there, and maybe, maybe, Jaxson Dart will save Brian Daboll’s career.”
