The New England Patriots have failed to turn things around after losing Tom Brady and the franchise is at a turning point. Their poor record almost assures them of the opportunity to draft a highly touted QB next year and owner Robert Kraft has to consider whether Bill Belichick is the right guy to try again after failing to develop Mac Jones. Another failed rookie QB could set the franchise back even further. Doug Gottlieb and Dan Beyer discuss the unpleasant options facing the New England Patriots.
Dan Beyer: “If you’re Robert Kraft, you almost can’t allow Belichick see this through because then these next couple of years would be wasted. If you drafted a quarterback and it didn’t work out...?”
Doug Gottlieb: “I think you’re right.”
