World #1 Daniil Medvedev is seeking his second Western and Southern Open Title. To get to the semifinals, he would have to get through American Taylor Fritz.

Fritz would battle with Medvedev in the first set taking it to a tie breaker, but from there the American couldn't keep up, and lost the match.

Final Medvedev defeats Fritz 7-6 (1), 6-3.
